Stoked is a classic tutoring service with a local touch, run by founder Rylan Hunt. We offer academic support to students with a variety of needs. Our guiding principles are perspective, non-judgement and adaptability.
Students in our area have a diversity of needs and interests. Ours have been athletes, behaviorally challenged, home-schooled, straight-A, social butterflies, special needs, second language learners, gamers, surfers, skaters, you name it and we have probably helped someone similar. Stoked meets our students where they are without judgement, has the appropriate perspective to contextualize their goals and needs, and adapts accordingly.
A tutor is a teacher, mentor and often friend – a unique position that allows us to engage students' focus like others may not be postured to. Stoked tutors are knowledgeable and experienced in their subjects, excellent communicators, and interesting, friendly individuals with hobbies like surfing, climbing, coding, music and travel. They are stoked on life and well equipped to stir or bring fuel to the fire.
